Upon your arrival, our driver warmly welcomes you at Bangalore Airport, Railway Station, or any designated location. Drive to the hotel, check in, and after some relaxation, embark on a delightful local sightseeing adventure:

Day 01: Bangalore to Mysore

Srirangapatna, an island formed by the River Kaveri, hosts the Ranganathaswamy temple known as Adi Ranga and Srirangam as Antya Ranga.

The Tipu Sultan Summer Palace via Ganjam boasts well-preserved mural paintings and a royal garden.

Amba Vilas Palace, the official residence of the Wodeyars, ranks as India’s second most visited tourist spot, showcasing a blend of architectural mastery, mural paintings, works by Raja Ravi Varma, sandalwood carvings, Thanjavur paintings, ivory carvings, and antique pieces.

The palace premises house 12 temples, some dating back to the 14th century namely, Someshvara Temple, Lakshmi Ramana Temple, Shwetha Varahaswamy Temple, Sri Prasanna krishna Swami Temple, Sri Bhuvaneshwari Temple, Kodi Someshwara Swamy Temple, Sri Gayatri Temple, Sri Trineshwara temple and others. The Anthapura, an adjacent building, preserves the kings and queens’ costumes and dress materials from six centuries ago. Don’t miss the illuminating Mysore Palace on Sundays and public holidays, featuring sound and light programs.

Explore Mysore Zoo, officially known as the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden, housing over 168 species across 157 acres, conveniently located near Mysore Palace.

Discover the rare artistry at the Sand Museum, a unique showcase of sand artistry.

Visit Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills, recognized as one of the Astadasa Shakti Peetas as per Adi Guru Shri Shankaracharya’s Astadasa Shakti Peeta Stotram. It is one of the seven most sacred hills in South India, also referred to as Krauncha Pitham in Skanda Purana.

Uncover the historical roots at Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple, originally built in the 8th century and dedicated to Lord Sri Shiva, featuring captivating architecture from Hoysala, Ganga, Chola, Vijayanagar, and other dynasties.

Marvel at the Mahishasura Statue, representing the demon from which the current name of Mysore is derived.

Witness the grandeur of the Nandi Statue, the third-largest monolithic statue of Nandi in India, carved from a single black granite block. Enjoy the panoramic views of Mysore City, Mysore Palace, and Lalitha Mahal Palace.

Visit the iconic KRS Dam (Brindavan Garden), the main water source for Mysore, Mandya, and most of Bangalore. Constructed in 1924 by the ruler Shri Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV and engineer Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, it is Asia’s largest dam. Celebrate Engineer’s Day on September 15th in honor of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and witness the illuminated Brindavan Garden with its evening light and music fountain show.

Drive back to the hotel by evening Overnight Stay in Mysore.

Day 02: Mysore to Ooty

Bandipur National Park offers the option of a Jungle Jeep safari from 6 am to 9:30 am. Notably, it is the first national park in India to employ drones for tracking poachers. While exploring, you may encounter freely roaming deer, elephants, bisons, black-faced monkeys, and other wildlife on the road itself. For those interested in a jungle jeep safari to spot tigers, it’s recommended to depart from Mysore by 5:30 am.

Madumalai National Park allows jungle safaris until 10 am. There are two routes to Ooty: one via Masinagudi and the other via Gudalur.

The Gudalur route, after a challenging journey through Bandipur and Mudumalai national parks, offers a refreshing tea break as you enter The Nilgiris, where the Western Ghats meets the Eastern Ghats.

Frog Hill View Point

Visit the Needle Rock Viewpoint, also known as Soochimalai, where you can literally reach for the clouds just around 700 meters from the road, providing breathtaking 360-degree views.

Experience Pykara Lake, a popular gateway 20 km from Ooty in the Nilgiri district. The Pykara village features a dam and a seasonal power plant, with an optional boat ride available.

Discover Pykara Waterfalls as the Pykara River changes direction, considered sacred as it flows northwards and then turns west after reaching the plateau.

Ooty Lake & Boathouse: Explore a variety of boating options, including paddle boats, row boats, and motor boats, at the Boathouse. This artificial lake, crafted by John Sullivan in 1824, offers a delightful boating experience with additional charges.

The Government Rose Garden: Nestled on the slopes of Elk Hill near Ooty town, the Government Rose Garden stands as the largest rose garden in India. Immerse yourself in the beauty of countless rose varieties showcased in this enchanting garden.

Enjoy leisurely evening hours for shopping and stay overnight in Ooty.

Day 03: Ooty Sightseeing.

After breakfast at 8:00 am, embark on a captivating Ooty sightseeing tour:

Explore the expansive Government Botanical Garden, spanning 22 hectares, a prominent attraction in Ooty.

Visit the Doddabetta Tea Factory and Chocolate Museum to delve into the intricacies of tea processing and chocolate manufacturing.

Ascend to Doddabetta Peak, the fourth-highest peak in South India at 8652 feet, offering a panoramic 360-degree view of Ooty, Mettupalayam/Coimbatore, Avalanche Dam, and Mukurthi Peak. 

Kotagiri, the earliest hill station in the Nilgiris, is renowned for its tea estates, Catherine Falls, Kodanad View Point, and the scenic Longwood Shola.

Coonoor, celebrated for its production of Nilgiri tea, invites exploration of Sim’s Park, Dolphin’s Nose, and Lamb’s Rock for those inclined towards captivating natural vistas.

Explore the Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Toy Train), built in 1908 and relying on a fleet of steam locomotives. Recognized by UNESCO as an extension to the World Heritage Site, diesel locomotives now operate between Coonoor and Udhagamandalam.

Conclude the day with free time for shopping in the evening, followed by an overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 04: Ooty to Kodaikanal (6-8hrs Journey approximately)

Start your day with a scenic drive to Kodaikanal via NH 67, passing through charming destinations like Coonoor, Mettupalayam, and Palani.

Optional: Explore the renowned Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani.

Upon reaching Kodaikanal, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.

Day 05: Kodaikanal – Uncover the Must-See Attractions

Embark on a local sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal after breakfast:

Coaker’s Walk: Explore this man-made walking plaza, carved on the steep slopes of the mountain in Kodaikanal, offering panoramic views. Constructed in 1872 by Lieutenant Coaker, the walk stands almost half a kilometer from Kodaikanal Lake.

Kodaikanal Lake: Also known as Kodai Lake, this man-made lake in the heart of Kodaikanal City offers serene surroundings and a pleasant atmosphere.

Green Valley View: Enjoy a mesmerizing view of the surrounding area, promising a visual treat for tourists.

Pillar Rocks: Visit this must-see spot featuring naturally formed pillar-shaped rocks that captivate the onlooker.

Pine Tree Forest: Situated in the southwest of Kodaikanal, the Pine Forest is a popular tourist destination showcasing the beauty of the preserved natural surroundings.

Moir Point: Located at the entrance of the forest leading to Berijam Lake, Moir Point offers spectacular viewpoints.

Kodai City View: Witness breathtaking views of the entire Kodaikanal while traversing the passageway towards the valley.

Chettiar Park: A beautiful park on the way to Kurinji Andavar Temple, accessed by climbing a hill.

Bryant Park: Positioned on the eastern side of Kodaikanal Lake, Bryant Park is a botanical park contributing to the charm of the hill station.

Bear Shola Falls: Immerse yourself in the serenity of this waterfall, situated in a dense forest with the soothing sounds of nature.

Dolphin Nose: Enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains from this rock formation that resembles a dolphin’s nose.

Day 06: kodaikanal to back home.

Post breakfast, embark on your return journey to Bengaluru/Mysore or Coimbatore. Our driver will drop you at your preferred location, be it Airport, Bus Station, or Railway Station. The tour concludes with cherished memories. If time allows, additional sightseeing can be accommodated.
