Day 01: Bangalore / Bengaluru local sightseeing.

Bangalore Palace: Bangalore Palace, a majestic architectural marvel, stands as a testament to the regal heritage of the city. Built in Tudor-style architecture, it captivates visitors with its opulent interiors, sprawling grounds, and a rich history dating back to the Wodeyar dynasty.

Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens: A horticultural paradise in Bangalore, boasts a stunning collection of diverse plant species amidst its picturesque landscapes. Founded in the 18th century, it stands as a testament to the city’s greenery and botanical richness.

Day 02: Bangalore to Mysore

Srirangapatna, an island formed by the River Kaveri, hosts the Ranganathaswamy temple known as Adi Ranga and Srirangam as Antya Ranga.

Ganjama, a local village renowned for rose flower production and delicious gulkand, is home to the 400-year-old Sri Nimishamba temple.

The Tipu Sultan Summer Palace via Ganjam boasts well-preserved mural paintings and a royal garden.

Sangama marks the confluence of three rivers – Kaveri, Kabini, and Hemavathi.

Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, the largest in Karnataka, on the banks of the Kaveri River, features 169 exotic bird species. Nearby is the Mahadevapura Bird Sanctuary, a paradise for birdwatchers.

Amba Vilas Palace, the official residence of the Wodeyars, ranks as India’s second most visited tourist spot, showcasing a blend of architectural mastery, mural paintings, works by Raja Ravi Varma, sandalwood carvings, Thanjavur paintings, ivory carvings, and antique pieces.

The palace premises house 12 temples, some dating back to the 14th century namely, Someshvara Temple, Lakshmi Ramana Temple, Shwetha Varahaswamy Temple, Sri Prasanna krishna Swami Temple, Sri Bhuvaneshwari Temple, Kodi Someshwara Swamy Temple, Sri Gayatri Temple, Sri Trineshwara temple and others. The Anthapura, an adjacent building, preserves the kings and queens’ costumes and dress materials from six centuries ago. Don’t miss the illuminating Mysore Palace on Sundays and public holidays, featuring sound and light programs.

Explore Mysore Zoo, officially known as the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden, housing over 168 species across 157 acres, conveniently located near Mysore Palace.

Discover the rare artistry at the Sand Museum, a unique showcase of sand artistry.

Visit Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills, recognized as one of the Astadasa Shakti Peetas as per Adi Guru Shri Shankaracharya’s Astadasa Shakti Peeta Stotram. It is one of the seven most sacred hills in South India, also referred to as Krauncha Pitham in Skanda Purana.

Uncover the historical roots at Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple, originally built in the 8th century and dedicated to Lord Sri Shiva, featuring captivating architecture from Hoysala, Ganga, Chola, Vijayanagar, and other dynasties.

Marvel at the Mahishasura Statue, representing the demon from which the current name of Mysore is derived.

Witness the grandeur of the Nandi Statue, the third-largest monolithic statue of Nandi in India, carved from a single black granite block. Enjoy the panoramic views of Mysore City, Mysore Palace, and Lalitha Mahal Palace.

Visit the iconic KRS Dam (Brindavan Garden), the main water source for Mysore, Mandya, and most of Bangalore. Constructed in 1924 by the ruler Shri Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV and engineer Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, it is Asia’s largest dam. Celebrate Engineer’s Day on September 15th in honor of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and witness the illuminated Brindavan Garden with its evening light and music fountain show.

Day 03: Mysore – Coorg

Check out from the hotel and drive to Coorg via Hunsur, Kushalnagar on the way visiting popular sightseeing places.

Embark on a delightful tour with the following destinations:

Bylakuppe Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery): Visit the renowned Namdroling Monastery, famously known as the Golden Temple, often referred to as the Little Tibet of India.

Sera Jey Monastery: Explore the tranquil and less-known Sera Jey Monastery, a peaceful retreat following the visit to Namdroling Monastery.

Kaveri Nisargadhama: Experience a river island formed by the River Kaveri, providing a true deep jungle encounter with safety measures in place. Enjoy activities such as boating on the River Kaveri, visit the Deer Park, Rabbit Park, and opt for an Elephant ride. Additional adventures like Ziplining are available at an extra cost. Note that some activities may be season-dependent, and river entry is restricted during the rainy season. The entry fee is Rs 10 per adult.

Dubare Reserve Forest & Elephant Camp: Explore the base camp of Dasara Elephants, where you can engage in boating and thrilling whitewater rafting (additional cost). The rafting options vary in distance, offering a 7-kilometer adventure.

Harangi Dam: Visit the scenic Harangi Dam near Hudgur village in Somwarpet taluk, Kodagu district. The masonry dam spans the river Harangi, a tributary of the Kaveri, situated approximately 9 km away from Kushalnagar town.

Chikliholi Dam: Discover the picturesque Chikliholi Dam and reservoir, a serene and uncrowded spot known for its natural beauty.

Conclude the day with a return drive to the hotel for an overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 04: Coorg must see places

Embark on a captivating Coorg sightseeing tour after breakfast at 9 am:

Abbey Waterfalls: Engage in a soft trek amidst a coffee estate leading to the enchanting Abbey Waterfalls, nestled within a private property.

Mandalpatti: Experience the misty, windy, and scenic landscapes of Mandalpatti, accessible only by 4WD. Opt for an additional jeep ride (optional).

Raja Gaddige: Explore the enchanting park and historical structure housing the tomb of the Raja of Gaddige, built in the Indo-Saracenic style.

Bhagamandala Triveni Sangama: Visit this temple town at the confluence of three rivers – Cauvery and its tributaries Kannike and Sujyothi. Explore the famous Sri Bhagandeshwara Temple, also known as Bhagandeshwara Kshetra.

Talacauvery: Witness the origin of the river Kaveri at Talacauvery. Explore the Sri Agastheeswarar Temple, Sri Vishnu Temple, and enjoy panoramic views of the Greater Talacauvery National Park (entry restricted).

Raja Seat: Visit this heart of Coorg town offering a panoramic view of the Sahyadri mountain range, featuring a toy train and a beautiful garden.

Madikeri Fort and Palace: Explore the 17th-century Madikeri Fort, restructured by Muddu Raja. The palace, known as Jaffarabad, showcases European architecture and is now utilized for government offices. Entry is free of cost.

Omkareshwara Temple: Pay a visit to the famous Shiva Temple in Coorg, the Omkareshwara Temple, with its idol having origins in Kashi (Varanasi).

Conclude the day with a drive back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 05: Coorg to Bengaluru

After breakfast, drop at your desired location, Airport/Bus Station / Railway station and the tour concludes with happy memories. If time allows, we can explore any remaining sightseeing spots along the way.
