Day 01:Â Bangalore to Mysore
Srirangapatna, an island formed by the River Kaveri, hosts the Ranganathaswamy temple known as Adi Ranga and Srirangam as Antya Ranga.

Day 02:Â Mysore must see Destinations
Embark on the Mysore sightseeing journey after breakfast at 9 am:
Explore Mysore Zoo, officially known as the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden, housing over 168 species across 157 acres, conveniently located near Mysore Palace.
Discover the rare artistry at the Sand Museum, a unique showcase of sand artistry.
Visit Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills, recognized as one of the Astadasa Shakti Peetas as per Adi Guru Shri Shankaracharya’s Astadasa Shakti Peeta Stotram. It is one of the seven most sacred hills in South India, also referred to as Krauncha Pitham in Skanda Purana.
Uncover the historical roots at Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple, originally built in the 8th century and dedicated to Lord Sri Shiva, featuring captivating architecture from Hoysala, Ganga, Chola, Vijayanagar, and other dynasties.
Marvel at the Mahishasura Statue, representing the demon from which the current name of Mysore is derived.

Visit the iconic KRS Dam (Brindavan Garden), the main water source for Mysore, Mandya, and most of Bangalore. Visvesvaraya, and witness the illuminated Brindavan Garden with its evening light and music fountain show.
Conclude the day by returning to the hotel for an overnight stay in Mysuru.
Day 03: Mysore – Ooty
Check out from the hotel and drive to Ooty via Gundlupet.
Bandipur National Park offers the option of a Jungle Jeep safari from 6 am to 9:30 am. Notably, it is the first national park in India to employ drones for tracking poachers. While exploring, you may encounter freely roaming deer, elephants, bisons, black-faced monkeys, and other wildlife on the road itself. For those interested in a jungle jeep safari to spot tigers, it’s recommended to depart from Mysore by 5:30 am.
Madumalai National Park allows jungle safaris until 10 am. There are two routes to Ooty: one via Masinagudi and the other via Gudalur.
The Gudalur route, after a challenging journey through Bandipur and Mudumalai national parks, offers a refreshing tea break as you enter The Nilgiris, where the Western Ghats meets the Eastern Ghats.
Visit the Needle Rock Viewpoint, also known as Soochimalai, where you can literally reach for the clouds just around 700 meters from the road, providing breathtaking 360-degree views.
Experience Pykara Lake, a popular gateway 20 km from Ooty in the Nilgiri district. The Pykara village features a dam and a seasonal power plant, with an optional boat ride available.
Discover Pykara Waterfalls as the Pykara River changes direction, considered sacred as it flows northwards and then turns west after reaching the plateau.

Visit the Doddabetta Tea Factory and Chocolate Museum to delve into the intricacies of tea processing and chocolate manufacturing.
Ascend to Doddabetta Peak, the fourth-highest peak in South India at 8652 feet, offering a panoramic 360-degree view of Ooty, Mettupalayam/Coimbatore, Avalanche Dam, and Mukurthi Peak.Â
Kotagiri:Â The oldest hill station in Nilgiris, renowned for tea estates and scenic spots.
Coonoor: Famous for Nilgiri tea production, Sim’s Park, Dolphin’s Nose, and Lamb’s Rock.
Explore the Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Toy Train), built in 1908 and relying on a fleet of steam locomotives. Recognized by UNESCO as an extension to the World Heritage Site, diesel locomotives now operate between Coonoor and Udhagamandalam.
Conclude the day with free time for shopping in the evening, followed by an overnight stay in Ooty.
